The blead length is 80.6cm.
He is a sword-smith of Akamatsu Taro.
This sword is new. Because some swords dealer had it in stock for a long time.
The blade is very long but it’s light weight and good balance.
Then this is a most suitable sword for a Iaido.

≪商品説明≫
「体配 style」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻と成る。
「彫物 carving」
片チリの棒樋が?下に掻き流し。
「地鉄 jigane」
板目肌に小板目が交じり、地沸良く付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
波紋は丁子刃で、足良く入り、刃中は金筋が輝る。帽子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
松太郎兼照、本名は木村馨、昭和36年生まれ、木村兼嗣刀匠の末弟で、木村兼光、木村兼幸の叔父。
赤松太郎は、兼嗣を筆頭として兼裕、兼照、その他の門人を育成している。全ての刀工は赤松太郎と銘を付け清麿写しには定評がある。
自家製鉄により玉鋼を制作して作刀を行う為、現在流通している日刀保の玉鋼とはやや趣きが異なる。
本作は居合用に作られた刀で、この刀は有る刀剣店の金庫に眠っていた物で、そのお店が打ち下ろしの刀身から完成させて保管していました、誰の手にも渡っていない初心出しです。
また本作、居合用に作られた刀です。非常に長い割に重量は軽くバランス良く、直ぐに居合で使えます。
｢拵 Koshirae｣
拵は肥後拵で金具は一作です。
The koshirae is a Higokoshirae. The fittings to use are all same pattern.
ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢二重風ハバキ。Made of silver, and pattern is like a Futae.
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地肥後金銀布目象嵌桜唐草。Made of iron. And gold and silver inlay, pattern is Cherry blossom and arabesque.
縁頭(fhchikashira)：鉄地肥後金銀布目象嵌桜唐草。Made of iron. And gold and silver inlay, pattern is Cherry blossom and arabesque.
目貫(menuki) ：菊の図。Pattern is chrysanthemum.
コジリ(kojiri) ：鉄地肥後金銀布目象嵌桜唐草。Made of iron. And gold and silver inlay, pattern is Cherry blossom and arabesque.
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫。柄巻きはスエード黒の諸捻り巻き。The shark skin with big grain and roll of shark skin. Tsukaito is black of Suede.
鞘(saya) ：黒笛巻き。Black Fuemaki.
