裏面から主題の輪郭を打ち出し、その表面に図柄の細部を加刻する打出手法の高彫で作られ、
彫刻した溝に純金を埋め込む金象嵌で仕上げた獅子図の目貫です。
This is a menuki made of brass.
It was created using high-relief chiseling,
a technique where the outline of the main subject is hammered out from the back and the
fine details of the pattern are added on the front. The carved grooves are finished with gold inlay,
a method in which pure gold is embedded, completing the design with a lion motif.
